This is the biggest week of the year for many of our seniors as they will be auditioning and interviewing with over 50 college representatives who are traveling from universities across the country.  

Our Showcase Committee has been hard at work to make this week a success for our dancers by providing a quiet and relaxing place for our seniors to recharge in between classes and by providing hospitality to college representatives.  

This is a true group effort, and we encourage all of our Dance Guild Members to participate to support the Dance Conservatory in whatever way they can.  Opportunties to donate your time and funds to make Showcase Week a success are provided below.

Senior Parents:

It’s hard to believe that the time has already arrived for Booker T’s College Week auditions. As you know, after drop-off, parents must immediately leave the premises. (Our kids have received extraordinary training at Booker T and they have this!)

We would like to start our own senior dance parent tradition! After drop off on Friday, November 22nd, please park near - and meet us at - Yolk for coffee and/or breakfast (Dutch Treat). We can’t wait to catch up on how the college applications are going, discuss what’s next for our seniors, and answer any questions you may have. Please RSVP at treasurerdanceguild@gmail.com to confirm you will join us on Friday, Nov 22nd, so that we can reserve you a seat. (Reminder to request free parking validation code before you leave Yolk).

Thank you to all who have signed up to volunteer this week!  As a reminder, all volunteers must be registered through Voly in order to volunteer on campus.  

We request our that our volunteers wear all black while working a shift on campus, or you may wear your Dance Guild Crew shirt if you ordered one.

For those who may not have the time to volunteer, but would like to donate funds to help us with the cost of Showcase Week, you can do so here!

The Dance Guild has partnered with En Fleur for bouquets for Evening of Dance and Portraits.  Bouquets can be ordered for your dancer for the Portraits performance on November 20th or the Evening of Dance performance on November 21st.

All bouquets are pre-order only and will be delivered to Booker T for pick up in the MAT Lobby before the performance.

All Seniors who are 4-Year Members of the Dance Guild are eligible for nomination for the Paul Baker Scholarship.  Please see the link below to review the 4 criteria that Dance Faculty use when submitting their nominations for the scholarship.
